1:1 Athlete to Trainer Ratio

MDP's Pyramid of Performance is the blue print for any athlete to maximize their athletic potential. Each athlete is directed through a physical, mental and emotional process that prepares them to conquer the challenges they will face at every level. As your athlete climbs the Pyramid, they are protected from the pitfalls of sport, while being empowered and prepared for their upcoming success.

 
 

LEVEL 1: MOVEMENT

Learn how the foundation of any great athlete is how they move; strength, power and balance through the trunk of the body.

LEVEL 2: SLOW-MOTION MIND

As physical, mental and emotional distractions increase so does the speed of the mind. The slow-motion mind separates great athletes from average athletes.

LEVEL 3: SELF-AWARENESS

When you prepare through a process of feel, NOT a process of thought, you will stay in a sequence longer.

LEVEL 4: MENTAL QUICKNESS

The ability to respond to any stimulus in milliseconds. Your internal GPS is programmed to create and manage your time & space.

STICKWORK SESSIONS

Challenges prove ownership! Want to own your skills under pressure? MDP Stickwork is a combination of reps., learning and conditioning. If that sounds exciting to you then come join us to develop your stick work and get more fit! Starting with those two foundational components, you'll be ready to advance with your team's strategy, be more competitive and have more fun!

Get out of the cold and join us indoors for 60 min. of challenging wall ball & shooting! All sessions are developed to help you grow for on-field performance and be more prepared for the uncertainties of our great game.

MDP Team training


S2S Launch is a full-year training team dedicated to the physical, mental and emotional growth of each athlete. The S2S Launch program is perfect for families that are looking for the club experience without the stress and uncertainties that come along with it. Our practices are designed around small field scrimmages and competitive skills-based drills. We want our team members learning to play this game by playing! No long lines, no standing around, no coaches talking too long – the environment we create will be the primary teacher and our coaching staff will be the motivators! We want our team members to learn to love competition, team work and figuring out solutions to problems on the field. Each of our team practices will begin with a dynamic movement segment and then go right into short-field 5v5 with two major emphases: stickwork and fitness. This skills-heavy model allows for maximum growth not just for the amount of reps. but the quality of reps.

This methodology will breed freedom to explore skills, expand the edges of comfort zones and discover strengths and weaknesses in order to learn more about yourself. S2S Launch will be challenging, enlightening and fun!

MDP Team Training brings the MDP Lacrosse method of teaching into the team setting with the focus of individual skills translating into the team strategy.

SKILLS: cradling, throwing (stationary & on the run), catching, ground balls, shooting (stationary & on the run),, dodging, off ball spacing
SPIRIT: Give maximum energy, effort & enthusiasm to my teammates
STRATEGY: All teams and coaches have different Xs&Os, terms and philosophies. Be prepared for all of them!
